This assessment topic I chose is surveillance camera. Surveillance camera is the monitoring of behaviour activities or information for the purpose of influencing, managing or directing. This can include observation from a distance by means of electronic equipment such as close circuit television (CCTV). It is normally using for security. Its pixel and resolution are higher than the video head of computer, and lower than the professional camera.
Surveillance cameras are widely used by the government in various public places such as, bank, school, train station or apartment. Many individual merchants also choose to use surveillance camera to face the accident just in case. Meanwhile, the surveillance camera will also serve as one of the most powerful evidence to prove the truth of the facts when the police consider about the case.
Few people who against Surveillance cameras, because it is very common in our daily life, which means also easy for everyone to get. Some of people use surveillance cameras as a weapon to hurt others. Especially female, when they go to the public toilet, small youth hotel or even fitting room. In many news reports, police have found little surveillance cameras in those place. These people use the invisible surveillance cameras peek into people’s life, they are hiding in the dark like mice, threatening the privacy of others. Due to these “Mice”, caused people panic about surveillance camera.
“Performers need. Supervisors”, this is the reason why the world need rule and law. Because of few people’ panic, they take surveillance camera as a kind of control or threat. However, imagine the world without surveillance camera, lots of thing would happen. Such as, the truth behind crime, bulling, abuse or hit and run, we would never know.
In my introducing, I was using recording voice and picture to as the staring. I play the few of sign of surveillance camera in public. The background music is giving positive and peaceful tone at the begining of the video. Continuelly, I was using eye level shooting angle to give more explaination about the reason why we need surveillance camera in our surciety. I also using the video from different website, all of them are high angle. These video establish when people do not know there are surveillance camera around them, what they would do. I was showing the news reporting about how the “Mice” usually put hide camera. There is contraction between these videos. Meanwhile, it is also leaving people a consideration about if the world need surveillance cameras. At the end, I was using a special way- typing in front of the audience to establish my conclusion.
All in all, in my point of view surveillance camera can serve as people last guarantee and shield in the public, it cannot protect us when danger happen. Good or evil are always depend on people. Everyone can lie in front of the camera, but surveillance camera is the only one can always tell the truth.
